Nightmare!!!

Having a right nightmare today.. Woke up to my dining room ceiling dripping with water... Water all over the floors!

Turns out trying to fix the tap on the bath has caused it to leak! Booooo!

Still... Least were taking the boys out tonight for some fun :) AND the scales r still down wohoooo!!

Im back!

Afternoon! After a few days of being away.. And having my birthday IM BACK!! Had such a nice lil break but its back to normality now AND its nearly time for te back to school preparations... I must say, im nervous for Rhys to be going to a new class :/. Still on the mission to lose the pounds, all is going good again after a slight uppage whilst i was away ( milkshakes and meals out didnt help :/). X

Eeeeeek!

Afternoon all :) I come bearing bad news ( well for myself), im weighing in 0.5 of a kilo up this week! Grr! Mustve been te weight watchers yogurts and not enough water/ walking... Im so peeved. I shall be making up for it this week for sure!!! I know the scales can fluctuate but i dont want them to on my weigh in day lol 😢

Im doing good!

Well im doing very well.. After visiting our families all weekend i have passed on: roasties, yorkshires and copius amounts of cakes and biscuits and desserts! Go me!! It's been so hot i havent felt like eating much anyway but i still couldve forced don an eclair lols!! Hope youre all enjoying the sunshine were havIng :) i just hope it stays this way for Brighton Wednesday! Woohooos X

Being challeneged by temptation? me too!

one word...temptation!

I don't mean temptation as in... shall i do the lottery today, or shall i have that one small drink, shall i have one moreglass, or shall i stay out that bit longer!
I mean:

  1. Picnics with the kiddies in the park where everyone is surrounded by goodies you used to eat.
  2. Coca cola.
  3. The sweet/ biscuit cupboard the boys and robert have.
  4. Making cakes when you can't touch them
  5. A roast without the potatoes
I may have survived all these but the temptations just keep coming... i WILL resist because i want to be slimmer !!

I realise i'm posting alot at once...catching up with what i've been writing on my profile! Trust me to write in the wrong place!!

I must share my excitedness, on my birthday (TUESDAY) we are going to brighton for a few days (without the boys).  It's going to be so lovely as we don't get much time to ourselves.  BUT at the same time  i always really miss them ff i go out without them :/ .

Once i get to Brighton i want to visit Choccywoccydoodah! I'm really going to be torturing myself though as i can't touch anything sweet on this LC bootcamp... but hey, it's got to be done!

Today is my fiancee's birthday..woohooo!

Unfortunately he's been working nights so it's been a bit of a pain timewise.  Myself and my eldest rhys were up at the crack of dawn to give 'daddy' his presents in bed!  Then we went to the shops to buy things to prettify the cake!


what do you think.... good huh?!

He actually wasn't fussed at having mostly pink on it AND he's taken some to work to give his pals lol!

Such a shame i can't eat any :(

5 weeks and onwards..

First of all i'd like to say i've made a boo boo!

I'm so new to this blogging and instead of writing on my blog it turns out i've been writing on my google profile :(  grr!

So i'll start at the 5 week mark!

At the beginning of week 5 i'd lost more weight :) Taking me to 11 pounds altogether so far...extremely happy!

I've discovered like others on MFP have mentioned that weight does fluctuate a tad so i'm definitely going to start measuring myself to see whats happening there.... I'm thinking im also going to invest in some scales which tell me my BMI as well as weight..i'm thinking maybe weight watchers ones (i've seen on amazon).

The first 4 weeks


This is my first blog!

My journey into Low carb
Hi :D

In this first blog i just wanted to speak about my new diet craze.. The low carb WOE!

I came across a thread whilst looking on mumsnet,which was a low carb bootcamp.. so i joined it, (4 weeks ago) and i've been hooked ever since!

Basically the rules are:

  1. No starchey foods: rice, pasta, lentils etc
  2. No potatoes, sweetcorn, peas
  3. no sugar whatsoever (whilst bootcamping)
  4. This means no fruit!
  5. you can eat as much meat/fish/veg as you like: the fattier meat the better
  6. fry/ cook in butter and oil
  7. plenty of eggs and cream with your meals is good too!
  8. Eat three meals a day
  9. AND the final rule...you MUST drink plenty of water.
So since ive started i've lost about 4.5 kilos...i'm obviously very happy with that but i still have a way to go! Sooo ill be writing about my low carb goings on here...if anyone has anything to add then feel free :)
